Ryan Blakeley is a Ph.D. in Musicology candidate at the Eastman School of Music and holds an M.A. in Music from the University of Ottawa. His doctoral research investigates how music streaming is affecting music industries, creative practices, and listening habits. After graduating, he plans to pursue work as a music journalist and editor.
