Advocacy

Throughout the project’s duration, we found that participating graduate students, staff, and faculty were eager to discuss potential changes to institutional, departmental, and professional policies and conventions to better prepare students for non-academic careers and better support graduate students of all backgrounds, races, genders, and sexualities. Following our discussion on Katina Rogers’s Putting the Humanities to Work, our faculty mentor, Darren Mueller, prepared a document of best practices for faculty and administrators to support non-faculty careers. We have made a version of this document available on our website.
